The showing of BAD FAITH at the Maynard Fine Arts theatre was a success, attended by approximately 100 people! Rev. Kathleen offered a short discussion period afterward, and we were pleased that many UUs attended from area congregations.
For anyone who missed it, there will be a second, in-house showing at FPS! First Parish offers this showing based on our commitment to faith in action and our belief that we should shine a light on religious nationalist political movements that are undermining democracy.
As the 2024 election looms, discover the unsettling influence of Christian Nationalism on the political landscape in BAD FAITH. The film reveals how Christian Nationalist leaders have spread fear and anger for decades, distorting political issues into Biblical battles between good and evil. Financed through the secretive Council for National Policy, Christian Nationalists have succeeded in taking over the Republican Party, turning it into a powerful weapon to demolish democracy from within. Discover the origins of this organized grasp for power and the grassroots coalition of secular and interfaith leaders bravely confronting the unholy forces threatening democracy.
