Jan Hardenbergh
Board Chair
Jan has been a member of First Parish of Sudbury for more than thirty-five years. He was drawn into a religious home that valued the spiritual depth found in Nature. His involvement at First Parish has run the gamut from Religious Education, serving on the Board from 2003 to 2006, Chairing the Canvass & Auction, and long-time involvement with the Finance Committee.
Jan now works half-time in 3D visualization for medical imaging, and he is the Sudbury Town Historian. He enjoys creating art to explain the brain and long hikes around Tippling Rock. Jan lives in Sudbury with his wife Gail. He has two adult children, Cornelius and Cadence, and a grandchild Collis.

Bill Aldrich
Bill Aldrich has been a member of First Parish since 2019. He grew up in an Episcopalian family but drifted from religious involvement after leaving home. Bill and his wife Joy came to the UU community seeking an open and inclusive religious experience that welcomes a variety of views. They have two children, Juliette and Owen, who both participate in the RE program.
Bill works as a software engineering manager at MathWorks in Natick where he has been employed for over 25 years. He currently manages development teams in the US and in India.
Bill and his family moved to Sudbury in 2013 and their household includes an energetic boxer dog, two cats, several chickens, and a Koi pond full of fish. He is an avid cyclist and also enjoys hikes around Sudbury.

Steve Baker
Steve and his wife Leslie moved to the Boston area in 1995 to take on the role of Senior Creative Director at the WGBH Foundation. Steve has worked with local and national PBS/WGBH television series for over 20 years. He also served on the boards for the N.E. National Academy of Arts and Science, Station Relations with The Corporation for Public Broadcasting, and station/PBS promotion/marketing committees.
Steve and Leslie have lived in Sudbury for 30 years. After retiring, Steve has enjoyed keeping busy at Home Depot in Marlborough in the Specialty Services Department, including Kitchen Design and Major Appliances. Steve was brought up Episcopalian in Kansas City, Mo. He fell in love with First Parish Sudbury and the people the first time he attended a service.

Deb Mackey
A long-time Sudbury resident, Deb’s first experience of First Parish was a Winter Solstice celebration. She has been a member since 1994 and is continually inspired by the joy, compassion, and support within the FPS community.
Deb is a proud graduate of Mount Holyoke College. After 25 years as an institutional investment executive, she founded Open E Communications, a writing and marketing strategy firm. She retired in 2023. Deb has served on the boards of the Eastern Massachusetts Literacy Council, the Land Conservation and Advocacy Trust, and the editorial board of Whole Terrain, Antioch University New England’s environmental literary journal.
A self-described “birder, writer, observer, and lover of song and story,” she can often be found rambling in the woods with a journal and a pair of binoculars.

Colin Warwick
Treasurer
Colin joined First Parish in 2004 and taught in the RE program until his children became old enough to resist! After an 11-year sabbatical, he had a renewed interest upon retirement when he started singing lessons and joined the choir in 2020. He was elected to the Board of Trustees in 2021. Prior to retirement, Colin was in the semiconductor and electronic design automation industries in R&D and later product management.
Colin lives in Sudbury with his wife Helen Kim. He has two adult children, Benjamin and Abigail. He is also the secretary of the Sudbury Democratic Town Committee and serves on Sudbury’s Council on Aging. He volunteers for tech support at the Sudbury Senior Center.
