The First Parish of Sudbury Book Club led by Rev. Kathleen Hepler is looking forward to meeting twice a month on Sundays through late February. All books on our list are written by people of color with distinctive voices. Join us for an exploration in decentering whiteness from the discourse.
The first and last session will be held at First Parish of Sudbury in person. All other sessions will be held on Zoom.

This Here Flesh: Spirituality, Liberation, and the Stories That Make Us by Cole Arthur Riley
This is a series of essays on topics like dignity, rage, and joy. Someone wrote, “Through a narrative of family and generations, Riley speaks of a Blackness so beautiful it can’t be contained and a liberation that is present and possible. This Here Flesh is an invitation to hold space, return home, and rediscover joy.” (Amena Brown, from the podcast HER)
