Join us for The Fifth Great Awakening with guest speaker Rev. Ethan Loewi.
The history of American religion has been shaped by a series of “Great Awakenings:” periods of intense religious upheaval when people are moved in great numbers to increased devotion, energy, and passion for their faith. What could a new great awakening look like today, and how could Unitarian Universalists be part of it?
Rev. Ethan Loewi (he/him/his) is a Unitarian Universalist minister from Portland, Oregon. He received his MDiv from Yale Divinity School. Ethan works for the Unitarian Universalist Association as a member of the Communications team and a writer for the magazine UU World. Ethan has also worked as a parish minister and hospital chaplain. His hobbies include reading and writing fiction, playing violin, and following cute pigs on Instagram. Ethan is thrilled to be leading a service at First Parish of Sudbury and grateful for the chance to get to know the congregation!
