It used to be taught that America was a melting pot. But this metaphor assumes a kind of sameness that does not exist here. The second of our UU values to consider this year is “pluralism.” What does living out the ideal of pluralism call forth within anyone who commits to it? We will honor Indigenous People Day as part of the service.
