Love Me Like a Rock

February 15, 2026 10:00 am

All are welcome to join Michael Tyo for Love Me Like a Rock.

With Valentine’s Day upon us (heart-shaped candy boxes and all) we’ll explore what it might mean to be “devoted” to those we currently love and to those we might love in the future, especially in our “maybe-I-do” world.  Is “unconditional” love really possible between humans? And when it comes to those we have loved in the past, how might we strive (when possible) to remember the smile, savor it well, and allow this old love to teach us about ourselves? Michael Tyo will read this sermon originally written by Rev. Robin Landerman Zucker of the Beacon UU Congregation in Flagstaff, AZ.

Michael Tyo is a long-time member of FPS and chair of the Worship Associates Group. He is busy during most worship services at the Zoom desk, helping to bring our weekly services online for those unable to attend in person.
