In a few days the ghosts, witches, and skeletons will stream through our lives and threaten a trick if we don’t treat. It has me thinking about the place of fear in human life. Fear can protect us, manipulate us, be unworthy of our rapidly beating hearts, make no sense, and be a great teacher. Was FDR correct when he said, “We have nothing to fear but fear itself”? What scares you right now?
