Transitioning Gracefully
Roberta Altamari, our Director of Lifespan Religious Education shares with us the eagerly anticipated sermon that a group of First Parish women won the honor to pick the theme of at our annual auction. The women chose the theme of “Transitioning Gracefully” and Ms. Altamari plans to take us on a thought-provoking, inspiring exploration. Transitions often end up being about doors opening to a new phase of life that often lead us a leap of faith moment. Some transitions evolve over time and some are sudden (like tragedy striking). Since we often find ourselves in a time of transition before we recognize what is happening, what does it mean to move through it gracefully. And even if we know what transitioning gracefully is, how do we practice that in our real lives?
