Cultivating Joy in Turbulent Times is the theme of this year’s Women’s Alliance one-day retreat, led by Lisa Fagerstrom. If you identify as a woman, you are warmly welcome to join us on Saturday, November 1, to the Harvard Unitarian Church Meetinghouse for a day of reflection, togetherness, and fun. No previous attendance at Alliance events is required; you are welcome!
To help the organizers prepare, please let Fran Sharp know if you plan to attend and bring a check that day for $30 (more if you can) payable to “The Women’s Alliance of First Parish.” Speak to Fran if you need a scholarship. You may also just show up at the rear door of the Meetinghouse. (NOTE: the change of venue from previous years.)
Check-in, with coffee, tea, and snacks, is from 9 to 9:30 am. The program starts at 9:30 am and runs until 3:30 pm, with a lunch break. Please bring your own lunch. Coffee and tea will be provided.
The Women’s Alliance is an independent yet related organization within First Parish of Sudbury. From fundraising and from endowments wisely invested, we have our own funds and do not seek expense money from the Parish. In fact, we regularly GIVE substantial monies to the Parish for specific purposes. We hold business meetings (next on November 17 at 7 pm in the Commons), potluck dinners, and retreats where we gather in fun, casual, relaxing get-togethers that build a close-knit community of women.
