Holiday Gift Bags for Incarcerated Neighbors

October 25, 2025 9:30 am

Each year, Concord Prison Outreach coordinates the distribution of holiday gift bags for people who are incarcerated in our state prisons. These packages—filled with items like toiletries and writing supplies—offer a message of dignity, kindness, and human connection during a season that often feels very isolating.

Our congregation is joining this effort again this year by helping to assemble the gift bags on Saturday, October 25 in the FPS Parish Hall. The items are provided by Concord Prison Outreach; our role is to come together in community and help prepare them for distribution. Join us from 9:30 am– 12 pm OR 12:30– 3 pm. From 12– 12:30 pm we’ll have lunch and conversation with Sam Williams, Executive Director of Concord Prison Outreach. It’s a meaningful, hands-on project for all ages.

In challenging times, the spirit of love and solidarity brings light into the world. When we reach out to those who are isolated, we are reminded that our faith calls us to widen the circle again and again—until no one is left outside of it.
