Thousands of migrants have arrived in Massachusetts over the past two years from Haiti and the Dominican Republic. They are seeking asylum in the United States after fleeing horrific conditions caused by natural disasters, economic conditions, and political unrest. Adults and children are living in temporary housing throughout the Metro West area as social service organizations work to provide basic needs.
Faith in Action at FPS is working with First Parish Concord and First Universalist Society Franklin to provide winter clothing for migrants living in the area.
They need winter coats, fleece jackets, hats, gloves, mittens, scarfs, and boots. All sizes are needed—infant through adult. Donations should be new or very gently used.
Please bring clothing on Sunday mornings, when there will be a table in the Hudson Road foyer, or drop them in the workroom at other times. The drive runs through 10/31/23.
