Join us on Sunday, October 22 at 3:30 pm, when Wanda Paik will present a piano concert of well-beloved classics. She will be playing on the newly restored 1922 Hamburg Steinway Model B. Her delightful program includes several selections of Frederic Chopin (including the Nocturne in C# minor) followed by Bach (the Toccata, Fantasia, and Fugue in D Major, BWV 912). The remainder of the program includes four selections by Franz Liszt and closes with his Sonetto del Petrarca (2nd Annees de Pelerinage Italie). A reception will follow the concert.
Wanda Paik is a frequent piano recitalist and soloist with numerous orchestras in the Boston Area. She has performed with the Boston Pops with Arthur Fiedler and Erich Kunzel, and the Boston Classical Orchestra with Harry Ellis Dickson. Wanda Paik received her Bachelor’s and Master of Music degrees from Northwestern University continuing her studies with Adele Marcus of the Juilliard School. She was on the piano faculty of Regis College in Weston MA and is a past president of the New England Piano Teachers’ Association.
