Welcome to Religious Exploration – October 2022

Michelle Cote, RE Director

The children will begin in the Sanctuary and after lighting a special lantern with the light of our chalice, leave to take part in our RE program.

A reminder that we now have a childcare provider who will be here from 9:45-11:15 am to care for any of our littles (infant through age 4).

October 10, 2022

We will continue to use creative arts and building as we explore our Unitarian Universalist guiding principles. This week we will focus on our 3rd and 4th principles (see the list of principles below) with an emphasis on how our actions create ripples that make a difference.

Sunday, October 16
Service Sunday: We will work on creating decorations for the Trunk or Treat Food Drive.

Sunday, October 23
Using our principles as a framework, we will discuss the importance of helping others
with a focus on food insecurity. Then we will continue in our planning and creating for
our Trunk or Treat Food Drive.

Sunday, October 30
We will set up and prepare for the Trunk or Treat Food Drive event. All children can
bring a costume to change into.

Unitarian Universalist PrinciplesChildren’s Version

We believe that each and every person is important.
We believe that all people should be treated fairly and kindly.
We believe that we should accept one another and keep on learning together.
We believe that each person must be free to search for what is true and right in life.
We believe that all persons should have a vote about the things that concern them.
We believe in working for a peaceful, fair, and free world.
We believe in caring for our planet Earth, the home we share with all living things.
