First Parish of Sudbury took part in Sudbury’s Black Lives Matter protest on the FPS lawn and Sudbury Commons on Black Out Tuesday, June 2, 2020. Hundreds attended the protest which took place simultaneously at Haskell Field. Traffic was heavy with car horns honking in support of the protest, often circling through the intersections multiple times, and many cars displayed Black Lives Matter signs. The protest ended with the Haskell demonstrators walking down to the Town Center and participants taking a knee in silence.
