First Parish of Sudbury invites the community to celebrate the Holidays! All events are open to the public.
December 21 – Yule Festival
Please join us for the Earth Centered traditions group’s annual Winter Solstice Ritual. We will celebrate the Shortest Day of the year on Saturday, December 21 at 6 pm. We turn the wheel of the year and bring back the sun, a chance to leave things in the old year and gather others for the new. The ritual will be followed by a pot luck feast and carols in the Parish Hall. For more information, click here.
December 24 – Christmas Eve
On Christmas Eve, Tuesday, December 24, First Parish will host two special services. Join First Parish for a Family Service at 5 pm featuring an interactive pageant, holiday hymns, and special performances by the First Parish Children’s Choir. At 7pm, a traditional Christmas Eve service will be held featuring the First Parish Choir, carols, hymns, traditional Christian readings, and stories. Both services will conclude with a candle-lit singing of Silent Night.
December 25 – Christmas Day
On Christmas Day, Wednesday, December 25, at 10 am, Rev. Dr. Marjorie Matty will host an informal service and breakfast by the fireplace, in the Parish’s Brackett Room, filled with singing and good cheer.
