Please put this date on your calendar now! As this event has transitioned from a Crafts fair to community outreach, we have aimed to put the “fun” back into fundraising. Many FPS members participate in October, or show up to fill the volunteer positions “as needed”. However, to make the event most successful, both as our public face and as a fundraiser, we need to plan well! For instance, if the event will include invitations to any vendors for the outdoors, we must act on this right away! Last year’s event included our soup kitchen, a fall-themed silent auction, live music and dance, children’s crafts and activities, baked goods and jellies, and a community art project. REVENUE TEAM (TEAM ONE): If you have been uncertain about what you can do towards reaching our goals to make First Parish financially stable and sustainable, this is the Team where many roles can be broken out and made more manageable for those individuals who prefer a concrete task. Our income depends on many efforts, and each is vitally important to our future. “Revenue” includes income from fundraisers (including our three regular events), building and event rentals, investment income, membership pledges and other gifts and offerings.
