Learn about Community Choice Aggregation and how we can use it to make a significant shift away from fossil fuels and towards renewable sources of electricity. Most towns and cities in Massachusetts have the option of using Community Choice Aggregation to choose sources of electricity distributed town-wide. Originally used primarily to save ratepayers money, it also can be used to boost use of renewable energy. That boost stimulates investment in new solar, wind, and other renewable energy projects in our region and thereby speeds our society’s necessary transition away from climate-destroying fossil fuels.
At our May meeting, we will hear from two experienced experts and share success stories and lessons learned. We aim to inspire and enable you to help push for Community Choice Aggregation with a high percentage of renewable energy in your city or town. Please join us at First Parish Sudbury, 327 Concord Road, Sudbury at 7pm on Thursday, May 9.

Come learn, share, vent, discuss, plan and act! 350Mass is a statewide, grassroots, climate action group dedicated to promoting citizen awareness and political action on climate change. Our Metrowest node public meetings usually happen the first Thursday of the month, with locations changing to accommodate learners, supporters, and activists from towns around the region. All are invited to participate in the breakout groups for the local initiatives as well as in the informal planning group that meets on dates prior to the monthly meeting. There will also be a chance for participants to share news and announcements from their organizations and municipalities. Arrive early to mingle. Light refreshments will be available.
