Rabbi Robert Orkand will be our guest preacher, and his sermon is titled “It All Started with Abraham: The Hospitality Imperative.” Rabbi Orkand writes “We are living at a time when fear of the “other” or stranger has come to influence human behavior–at all levels of society. Perhaps, then, it is time for us to step back to see what Father Abraham can teach us about hospitality and graciousness.” The First Parish choir led by Ms. Debra Morris-Bennett will offer pieces of music fitting the theme of hospitality.
