Join the congregation at First Parish of Sudbury Unitarian Universalist on Sunday, April 23 as we welcome Fran Sharp to the pulpit. Fran, a life-long Unitarian Universalist, has been a member of the congregation for 19 years, has served on the staff and also the Worship committee for several years..
Ms. Sharp will offer reflections on a favorite writing by Henry David Thoreau in the 1880s when he lived at Walden Pond in Concord. The writing began “I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately…and not when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.” She asks “how do we go about the challenging and religious work of living deliberately, and does this mean different things at different stages of life?
