First Parish of Sudbury is welcoming back the well known and well loved bluegrass group, Southern Rail to provide music for their service on the theme “Earth Angels” on Sunday, December 11th at 10:00 am. Southern Rail’s performances are high-energy exuberant fun, with riveting harmonies, irrepressible humor and sparkling banjo, mandolin, and guitar solo work.
Band members Jim Muller (guitar), Sharon Horovitch (acoustic bass), Richard Stillman (banjo) and John Tibert (mandolin), in addition to their instrumental music will blend their voices in tight harmony to offer such songs as Will the Circle Be Unbroken, One Beautiful Day and The Only Bible. Those plus additional songs were carefully chosen to weave throughout the service on the theme of “Earth Angels” which will be led by Rev. Marjorie Matty. Come, be inspired and learn how we all have the capacity to be Earth Angels in our everyday lives!
