Worship Service at 10am December 4, 2016 at First Parish of Sudbury Unitarian Universalist.
Join us to “wake up the sun” in this month of darkness and dormancy. Led by our Morris Dance teams, we honor our earth-centered traditions by reenacting ancient rituals to bring back the sun and ensure the rebirth of the natural world.
The service for all ages will include singing, dancing, storytelling, readings and a surprise or two!
You will see how these ancient stories have elements that we find in so many other religious stories about darkness and light, death and rebirth, stories with messages that point to an interconnection that includes all beings, including the spirits of beings who died long ago.
