In the Jewish religion mitzvah is known as the laws and commandments of the religion, however, as all things evolve through experience and history, the meaning of a mitzvah has turned towards an act of human kindness. As a part of this discussion we will look at the difference between neediness and needfulness, how to tell the difference and how to respond with an act of mitzvah to those who are needful. If one responds with loving kindness and does a good deed they may actually be considered a mensch! Join Rev. Dr. Marjorie Matty as she considers Radical Hospitality, Random Acts of Kindness, Standing on the Side of Love and the importance of such practices in our community and beyond.
