Join the members and friends of First Parish of Sudbury Unitarian Universalist on September 28 at the 10am Worship Service when we will welcome the Rev. Phyllis O’Connell to the pulpit.
In honor of the Jewish High Holy Days, Rev. O’Connell will consider in her sermon new beginnings and how old stories help us understand them and may even guide our own changes. She wonders, “how capable are we of change, really, even though we know new beginnings are life giving?”
Rev. Phyllis O’Connell is newly retired from Parish Ministry after 25 years of serving Unitarian Universalist congregations in the greater Boston area. The mother of two grown daughters, she spends her time writing about aging and is developing a program for churches and other organizations called “When Retirement Looms”.
