Sherri has been a member of First Parish for more than 30 years. This is her third time on the Board of Trustees. In addition, she has served as Clerk and Moderator. Sherri was a Co-Chair of the Harvest Fair for 10 years and currently is on the Service Auction Team and the COVID Task Team.
Prior to retirement in 2015, Sherri worked for 35 years as an attorney in Boston and then in Marlborough. She lives in Sudbury with her husband, Tom McGowan. She enjoys gardening, walking on conservation land, bike riding on rail trails, and traveling. Sherri is also on the Board of Directors of Employment Options, Inc., Sudbury Valley Trustees, and the Sudbury Housing Authority, and currently serves as the SHA liaison to Sudbury’s Community Preservation Committee.

Jan has been a member of First Parish of Sudbury for more than thirty-five years. He was drawn into a religious home that valued the spiritual depth found in Nature. His involvement at First Parish has run the gamut from Religious Education, serving on the Board from 2003 to 2006, Chairing the Canvass & Auction, and long-time involvement with the Finance Committee.
Jan now works half-time in 3D visualization for medical imaging, and he is the Sudbury Town Historian. He enjoys creating art to explain the brain and long hikes around Tippling Rock. Jan lives in Sudbury with his wife Gail. He has two adult children, Cornelius and Cadence, and a grandchild Collis.
Tom has been a member of First Parish of Sudbury for more than thirty years. His involvement at First Parish most of those years had been music and dance, singing in the choir, and running the Morris dance groups which First Parish hosts. In the past few years. Tom has stepped up his First Parish activities first working on increasing outside paying building users, then becoming Treasurer, serving on the Board, and finally bringing Partners for Sacred Spaces to us as consultants to help us open up our space to the community
Tom still works in his jewelry business Tom Kruskal Designs. He also served on the Boards of Pinewoods Camp, Country Dance and Song, and Revels. Tom lives in Sudbury with his wife Deborah. He has two adult children, Lily and Peter, and two grandchildren, Esme and Maeve.
Fran Sharp has been a member of First Parish of Sudbury for more than twenty years. She has served in several capacities, both on the staff and during her long-time membership as a volunteer. She is a lifelong UU.
Fran has often been involved in Community and Hospitality initiatives, attracting and welcoming newcomers and helping them get meaningfully involved in FPS activities. She served on the Ministerial Search Team from 2011-12. Her other passion is great worship. She chaired the Worship Associates group from 2013-15 and loves intergenerational worship experiences.
Fran lives in Maynard in a converted 127-year-old church with her husband Philip Ralli and frequently sees their son Peter and daughter Robyn, who grew up in our Religious Education program at FPS. She has been a quilt designer and quilt-maker for 20 years and is especially committed to encouraging engagement in social action through her quilts, FranSharpDesigns.
Liaison to Council on Ministry
Colin joined First Parish in 2004 and taught in the RE program until his children became old enough to resist! After an 11-year sabbatical, he had a renewed interest upon retirement when he started singing lessons and joined the choir in 2020. He was elected to the Board of Trustees in 2021. Prior to retirement, Colin was in the semiconductor and electronic design automation industries in R&D and later product management.
Colin lives in Sudbury with his wife Helen Kim. He has two adult children, Benjamin and Abigail. He is also the secretary of the Sudbury Democratic Town Committee and serves on Sudbury’s Council on Aging. He volunteers for tech support at the Sudbury Senior Center.
