- Flames class for children in grades K-3:
This Sunday, our younger students will participate in a Moral Tales lesson about making a difference. They will read and discuss a Thai folktale about a selfish queen who is shocked when she learns about the consequences of her thoughtless actions. They will also spend time making magic wands, and thinking together about what change they would love to make in the world if they had magical powers. They will finish class by thinking about ways that we all can make a difference.
- Explorers class for children and youth in grades 4-8:
Our older students will participate this Sunday in a Toolbox of Faith lesson about love. They will hear and discuss a traditional Jewish story about love and sacrifice, and then they will explore the idea of human compassion through cooperative games, song, and an ASL “I love you” craft.
