Annual Spring Auction Coming Soon: April 2

auction 2016 logoWhat Shall I Donate To The Auction?

Some of the best items are those donated by First Parish members and friends! Wondering what to donate this year? The possibilities are endless: pool parties, cookouts, and dinners are always a hit and they keep the fun going throughout the year. Maybe you’d like to host an election night get together in November or perhaps a Super Bowl party next February. Do you knit, sew, or garden? Maybe you’re a computer whiz? Or have some other skill or hobby that you’d like to share. And don’t forget to ask some of your favorite merchants to donate a gift certificate.

There are two ways to make your donation to the Auction. The online form is at: If you prefer a manual form, they are available in the church office. If you have something in mind, it’s not too early to donate. And you can donate additional items at any time.

How Can I Volunteer?

While the Auction is THE social event of the year, getting ready for it and helping out the night-of are also fun and a great way to get to know folks. The Auction Team needs help with making phone calls, setting up during the day on Saturday, helping serve food, and bringing the Parish Hall back to normal after the Auction ends. It’s easy to sign up here: Auction Volunteer. Just select the task you’d like to help with and the time slot, if applicable.

What Else Is Important To Know?

The evening will begin at 6:00 with appetizers, wine, beer, and soft drinks while we peruse and bid on silent auction items. A buffet supper will be served and then we’ll move into the lively verbal auction!

There will be childcare with pizza and a program for the kids.

Auction tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the door.

Any questions, please contact the Service Auction Committee: Sherene Aram, Sherri Cline, Gail Hardenbergh, Jan Hardenbergh, Anna Lee, and Sheila Murphy.

See you at the Auction!
