Hello Everyone!

I hope your summers have been filled with time for reflection, relaxation, renewal and of course some fun vacations, watermelon and ice cream!

As the summer draws to a close, please remember to include shopping for backpacks and school supplies on your “to do” list for the fall.  This is such an easy way for all of us to “live our faith” by helping others while we go about our daily lives.

For ten years, First Parish and HOPEsudbury have partnered to help children living in homeless shelters and transitional housing to feel a bit more special as they go back to school by providing new backpacks, pencils, pens, crayons, notebooks, etc.  The students range in age from elementary through high school.

Starting August 28th, there will be a bin in the First Parish lobby to collect the backpacks and supplies.  If you shop early, there will be collection bins at the Goodnow Library and the Flynn building during the month of August.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.
