"Riding #49"
Rev. Katie Lee Crane, preaching
Our minister, the Rev. Katie Lee Crane, returns to the pulpit this Sunday after a one-month sabbatical leave spent in the San Francisco Bay Area. In a sermon is titled "Riding #49", she will share some of her observations and insights. "To be honest," she admits, "I wanted to escape the world for awhile; I wanted to put my finger in the dyke and hold off the daily rush of noise and bickering, look away from the toxic effects of war and poverty, and... well, just smell the camellias. She reports that she did indeed enjoy an abundance of camellia's (they don't have a strong fragrance); she picked oranges and lemons right off the trees, hiked in Muir Woods, and watched the sun set over the Pacific Ocean, but, she says, "Instead of escaping the world, I found it." Join her on Sunday to learn the details.
