Welcome to First Parish of Sudbury

Dear Visitor,

Welcome to First Parish of Sudbury. When you visit us for the first time, the first thing you will notice is our lovingly restored meetinghouse. For a moment, you will feel transported back in time to our town center as it was more than 200 years ago.

Then you step inside. You hear the buzz of activity, the laughter of children, the cross-currents of conversations about meaning and ideas, projects and activities, issues and concerns. You feel the warmth and the engagement of this active congregation.

Sometimes I try to capture the spirit of our ministry in this soundbite: Seek. Learn. Celebrate. Advocate. Nurture. Serve. Each word contains layers of depth and meaning and, taken together, they express what matters most to us about this congregation nearing its 375th anniversary.

Join us for worship on Sunday mornings. Participate in an adult program for discussion or education or support. Create an oasis in your busy life Enroll your children in a program of religious exploration that highlights the wonders and traditions of many of the world's religions; expose them to a program that encourages children of every age to make meanings for themselves and live by a set of values that promote human dignity, the democratic process, justice and compassion as well as the interdependence of all living things.

Here at First Parish, we are committed to minister to one another and to serve our community and our world. We are delighted to have you visit and hope you will return again and again.
