Everything is connected to everything else. No one part, nothing, is isolated. Everything is linked, and interdependent. Everywhere everything is connected to everything else.” Our seventh Unitarian Universalist principle dovetails nicely into this wisdom, calling us to, “Respect… the interdependent web of all existence of which we...

The traumas of a tree’s life are visible on the surface, as knots form and bark curls around to protect and restore the damaged places. As Unitarian Universalists we try to treat those around us as if we could read their life stories in their skin: with respect, with empathy and compassion. Our faith leads us down this path. Our newsletter helps to keep us in touch with opportunities to practice such deep connection to others as well as opportunities for learning, for spiritual growth and for just plain fun together….such as our annual Service Auction April 12, an event not to be missed!

“We are a covenanted rather than a creedless church. We do not have a creed or doctrine because we believe that truth has not been revealed once and for all time, but that it continues to unfold. What holds us together is our covenant, our decision to be together.” (written by the Rev. Peggy Clarke.) If your take those words to heart, you will find that your decision to be together at First Parish of Sudbury Unitarian Universalist will nourish your spirit and provide opportunities for social events to connect with others and social justice work to help others…all found in our newsletter.

Welcome to a New Year! A time of new beginning for you…perhaps.

I find inspiration in this quote, “The lizard knows that if you wait long enough the shade will come and cover your warm rock. And if you wait longer then the sun will come back again. The hard part is knowing when to wait, and when to move to a new rock. What are you waiting for?” You may also find inspiration for change (spiritual, personal, educational, social action) while you are engaged with the congregation at First Parish of Sudbury Unitarian Universalist. Take a look at what’s going on and find your possible “new rock.”
