Summer Sunday services take place in our air-conditioned, hearing assisted Commons. Nibbles are available at 9:30am and the service begins at 10:00am. Come hear a wide range of worship topics offered by our lay leaders. All are welcome, but no childcare is offered in the summer. It will be a very busy, fun-filled Sunday as we help our graduates celebrate their official entrance into young adulthood. In 1639, Sudbury was settled by immigrants to the New World. In 1641 First Parish of Sudbury was incorporated. A Meetinghouse was built on the eastern side of the river, a location where both worship and town meetings were held. Come one and all for our Celebration Sunday on June 11 which will include our Flower Communion (please bring one stem for each person in your family…they will be shared during the service). The Women’s Alliance will hold its final potluck meeting of the church year on Thursday, June 8, at 6:30 in the Brackett Room.  This will be our Annual Meeting where we elect our officers for the coming year, vote on grant proposals (we have one so far) and plan for the following year. All ages are welcome to our Church Picnic on Sunday, June 11 after the Flower Communion Service.  Hamburgers  and hot dogs (meat & vegetarian) and the fixings, AND ice cream are provided by Community and Hospitality Committee.  Bring a dish to share with a list of the ingredients, drinks, picnic blankets and games.  Members of the Conscious Eaters group are bringing their favorite healthy homemade snacks with copies of the recipe.   We will have a supply of plates, napkins, and utensils but we encourage you to bring recyclable supplies. ...

Independence Day at FPS

We had so much fun grilling and selling picnic food to the Independence Day Parade spectators last year that we are running it again.  We welcome everyone to help plan, shop, grill, cut watermelons, set up tables and canopies and clean up.  If you can’t be there, you can still help by baking cookies, brownies, or cupcakes ahead of time.  Store them in the brand new freezer with a big tag “July 4 Grill” We already have several volunteers.
