Report on Family Promise Walk to End Homelessness

It was a very chilly Saturday morning , but 4 hardy children, 1 youth, 6 adults and 1 dog represented First Parish of Sudbury at the 9th annual Family Promise Metrowest (FPM) Walk to End Homelessness in Natick. We were happy to help FPM raise funds to support their programs.  FPM made their goal of $160,000 with the donations from you, our families and friends.  We raised $2640, making First Parish of Sudbury UU the 11th ranked team out of 68 teams! Thank you for your support and donations.

FPM is a community response to family homelessness providing shelter, transitional resources and employment support to families committed to bringing themselves out of poverty. Their unique model uses 19 host congregations who provide shelter and meals to the families with support from an additional network of community volunteers.
