“Creativity and Play” Women’s Alliance Nov 4 retreat

Now is the time to sign up for the annual Women’s Alliance One-Day Retreat, held as usual in the beautiful community building of the Harvard, MA Unitarian-Universalist Church, on the first Saturday in November, Nov. 4.

Our facilitator will be Trisha Knudsen, a published poet and experienced workshop and retreat leader. Trisha describes herself as “a poet, amateur artist, craft maker and singer” who can teach us how to create “a poem or a little book or a piece of art” in just a few minutes.” (Peg Espinola has been to one of her workshops and can attest to that.) Trisha believes that women often spend so much time taking care of others that they forget how to play, and lose touch with their creative selves. She would like the opportunity to show us how to “learn to see the world with fresh eyes and a creative heart.” You may read more about Trisha at www.retreatquest.com.

This year we will start with coffee or tea, provided by the Alliance, and snacks to which all will contribute, at 9:30 a.m. The program will run from 10 to 12 with a break for lunch at 12, and resume from 1 to 3.

Cost of the program is $25, which includes materials. We will each bring our own lunch or you may purchase a salad or sandwich at the deli across the street. Bring cash or a check (Payable to: Women’s Alliance of 1st Parish Sudbury) to the retreat—you need not pay in advance, but we need to know if you are coming, preferably before October 25th , for planning purposes.

Emarie Pope has volunteered to be the registrar for this event.
