Rummage Sale: Saturday April 22, 10am-2pm

First Parish of Sudbury Women’s Alliance Rummage Sale, Saturday April 22 from 10 am to 2 pm

Saturday, April 22 is the date of the annual RUMMAGE SALE at First Parish of Sudbury.  The sale, which runs from 10 am to 2 pm,  is organized by the Women’s Alliance of First Parish and features gently-used goods of all kinds: clothing, household goods, books, CDs, toys, games and puzzles, sporting goods, stationery and office supplies, and more.

Proceeds are used to support the activities of the Alliance and fund special projects at the church, as well as to make donations to worthwhile community projects.

“Our sale is different from most,” explained the coordinator, Peg Espinola. “For the most part there are no price tags on individual items. Instead there is a $5.00 entrance fee which buys you a standard, specially-marked grocery bag (doubled for strength) into which you can place as many items as you can fit.  Once that bag is full, you may buy additional bags, each for $5.00. And if you cannot find ANYTHING you want, you may return your bag and get your $5.00 back.”

In addition there is a separate ‘Out of the Bag’ sale of selected items, priced individually, that are either too big to fit in a grocery bags, or have some other distinctive quality worthy of a separate price — for instance,  jewelry, or designer clothes.

Concludes Peg, “Our rummage sale is like a treasure hunt where everyone’s a winner.”

FPS folks–please bring your donations to the vestibule (Hudson Rd. lobby) between Monday, April 17 and Friday, April 21.
