Last Sunday all RE classes gathered together for a special look at homelessness as we thought about our call to help one another. We learned about what the experience is like to be homeless and the many challenges with lack of money and a house, a shower, clean socks, and access to a bathroom. We used cardboard to build temporary shelters and used those to advertise the Walk to End Homelessness through Family Promise on April 8th. Will you join us in this family friendly event? This Sunday Spirit Play will return to their study of creation myths from around the world.
UU Explorers will examine the promises the Blake covenant offers us as a whole — that we “dwell together in peace, seek the truth in love and help one another”— in the context of their own ties with family members, friends, and people in their congregation and wider communities. Participants will acknowledge their role in our faith heritage: We are active creators of our faith, inheritors of a tradition even as we shape a new heritage to pass along to others.
Breakfast Club will meet in the library.
Nursery Care will be provided.
Each of us has a personal calling that’s as unique as a fingerprint … discover what you love and then find a way to offer it to others in the form of service, working hard, and also allowing the energy of the universe to lead you. — Oprah Winfrey
