Spirit Play has been looking at creation myths. The last creation myth they heard was from the Yoruba religion in Africa. In the story, Obatala, a heavenly being, wasn’t content in his heavenly abode, and so he created a chain of gold on which to descend down to earth and create the world.

Sing to the Power has been examining the quality of persistence. They learned the story of Universalist minister Phebe Hanaford, who, before she died at the age of 92, had the joy of being one of the few women’s suffrage leaders of her generation who lived to see the passage of the 19th Amendment. After more than 60 years of work, Rev. Hanaford finally won the right to vote. They will continue with the theme this Sunday.

Breakfast Club will continue with their theme of silence and Nursery care will also be provided.
