Pledge Campaign Update – Pledge before April 8

Steel, ChurchDanceWith the 2016-2017 Pledge Campaign well underway, we are on a slow, but positive trend. While only 30% of those canvassed have pledged, of those who have pledged so far, 43% have increased their pledges. Of those who have pledged, 15% decreased their contributions to First Parish and 41% remained the same.

First Parish typically gets almost 75% of its income from contributions from members and friends, so it is very important that your donation reflects your commitment to our wonderful community. We do not have a lot of discretion in how we spend our money, and almost 65% is spent on salaries and benefits. You can find a copy of our FY17 Preliminary Budget under Quick Links on “the Village” website (http://fpsudbury.org/members/). Contact the if you need an account.

If you haven’t pledged yet, there is still time to have your generosity count towards next year’s plans. Pledges that have been recorded by April 8 will be included in the final budget that FinCom will discuss at their April 11 meeting.

The Board of Trustees plans to offer informational sessions in late April about the final budget so that congregants can learn about the financial issues facing First Parish and offer input. Watch for announcements about these sessions.

We are all in this together and First Parish counts on your support.
