Religious Education this Sunday: Sept 27

kids clipartIn Religious Education this week our four- to six-year-olds will meet together for Spirit Play, where they will be introduced to our seven rainbow principles through story telling, creative play, and arts and crafts. Our older children will join together to create a covenant as we begin Sing to the Power, where we will be exploring how we can create positive change in the world through the power of connection. 7th and 8th graders are invited to join the Breakfast Club where Marilyn and Pat are looking forward to reconnecting to the group and checking in about the summer.

Volunteer! We have a fun and dynamic, growing program this year and are looking for more teachers to help out on a rotating basis or occasionally as needed. Please contact Chris Scheller, Director of Religious Education, if you are interested at

Meet-and-Greet  Hope you can come to the “Meet and Greet” on Sunday 9/27 at 8:45am in the library. Chris Scheller, our new Director of RE will look forward to chatting with you.People of all ages are very welcome. Light refreshments will be provided. Come with questions about his plans for the year.

Save-the-Date  All youth and adults interested in volunteering in the Spirit Play class this year are encouraged to attend our first teacher training of the year on October 4th from 2-3pm, in the Commons room.

Please come if you may be able to help out, even as an occasional helper, to support this dynamic and exciting religious education model. Parents of four- to six-year-olds are especially encouraged to attend, as are parents of any children participating in religious education this year. You will learn about Spirit Play and the roles of the teachers in the class, as well as important safety information. Please RSVP to .

Register  During social hour, the RE committee will be handing out and collecting registration for religious education classes.
